As a wedding videographer, I’ve had the chance to capture love stories in some of the most beautiful places on Earth. Living between the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts, I consider this breathtaking region my home, and it’s always a joy to showcase the beauty and the special atmosphere of the Amalfi Coast in my videos. When Ania and William reached out to me to document their intimate wedding in Positano, Italy, I knew this was going to be something truly special.

Ania, originally from Poland, and William, from Venezuela, have a love story straight out of a movie. After years of moving between countries, from Norway to Portugal and finally to Spain. 

Ania met William during a dance class in Zaragoza. Their connection was instant, and through life’s ups and downs, including a global pandemic, they grew closer, eventually settling in the Netherlands. For their wedding, they chose yet another incredible destination to add to their journey: the stunning Amalfi Coast. 

Ania’s wedding dress was a work of art, not the traditional white gown, but a light, elegant dress adorned with colorful floral details. It perfectly complemented the vibrant hues of Positano and added a unique touch to their day. To highlight the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, I used natural color grading, ensuring that the vivid colors of the sea, mountains, and iconic Positano houses shone through authentically.

The wedding took place on the terrace of Petite Syrene, a private villa perched above Positano. With the iconic Duomo of Positano and the endless blue sea as their backdrop, the setting couldn’t have been more magical.

The intimate ceremony was attended only by close family and friends, creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection.

Ania and William’s ceremony was a beautiful blend of cultures, conducted in both Polish and Spanish. During the vows, Ania said something that inspired the title of their wedding video, Donde Tú Estás (Where You Are): “Home for me isn’t where we have walls and a roof; home for me is where you are.”

 My style as a wedding videographer combines cinematic beauty with a documentary approach. It’s all about making the couple look their best while capturing genuine emotions and moments. For Ania and William, this meant documenting everything from their preparations to the heartfelt ceremony, a romantic couple’s session, and even a spontaneous dance that showcased their love for each other.

Behind the Lens: A Personal Reflection

Every love story is unique, and this one truly touched me. Listening to Ania and William’s journey, how they’ve supported and uplifted each other through life’s challenges, was inspiring.

While I’m always focused on the task at hand, it’s impossible not to feel moved by such genuine emotions. My goal was to ensure their video reflected not just the beauty of their day, but the depth of their connection.
